How it works:
During the initial setup, you will set a master password and a PUK.
Use the master password to open StickSafe and store all your important data in the DATA folder. The password generator helps you create strong passwords and save your login details in the password manager. When you are finished, select ‘Exit & Lock’ from the main menu to securely encrypt your data.
In the DATA folder, you can store documents and access details, for example: insurance policies, important documents, access details for bank accounts, information about safe deposit boxes or wallet access details.
Hardware, attack method, protection mechanisms used and, above all, the quality of the password. That is why time specifications on the internet are often misleading — the basic rule remains: length + randomness wins.
For emergencies, there is the PUK rule: if the master password is entered incorrectly 5 times, access is blocked and can only be unlocked with the PUK. You decide who receives the PUK (e.g. spouse, solicitor/lawyer, trusted person). Only you should know the master password – it can be changed at any time.
